Rodeo coming to fairgrounds this weekend

Rodeo is one of the largest high school rodeos in California

–Mid-State Classic Rodeo, part of the California High School Rodeo Association, will be happening this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Paso Robles Event Center. With over 260 contestants coming to represent 5 out of the 9 California High School Rodeo Districts of California, Mid-State Classic is one of the largest high school rodeos in California.

Friday’s events

  • Cutting: Start at 8 a.m.
  • Goat tying: Start at 3 p.m.
  • Rough stock (Start time 5 p.m.)
  • Bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding
  • Jackpot team roping (open to community, click here for more information.)

Saturday’s events

  • Rodeo start time 8 a.m.
  • Pole bending, tie down roping, breakaway roping, team roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing, rough stock, and reined cow horse.

Sunday’s events

  • Pole bending, tie down roping, breakaway roping, team roping, steer wrestling, and barrel racing

There will be vendors, a silent auction, and a raffle. The top prize for the raffle is two Gold Buckle Seats to the National Finals Rodeo for Dec 5 & 6, second prize is a Yeti Cooler.
