Mid-State Fair announces three Frontier Stage acts

–The California Mid-State Fair has announced three acts that will be performing this year at the fair on the Frontier Stage. All three performances are free with paid admission to the fair. The 2016 California Mid-State Fair runs July 20 through July 31. This year’s theme is “The Adventure Continues…”

Asleep At The Wheel has been confirmed to perform on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Over their history, Asleep at The Wheel has garnered ten Grammy Awards and released more than 25 studio and live albums. The band has constantly toured at a national level throughout its history. The alumni roster is well over 80+ members, and includes an impressive list of musicians who have gone on to perform with artists such as Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Lyle Lovett, Ryan Adams, and many more.

BJ Thomas has been confirmed to perform on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thomas is a five time Grammy and two time Dove Award winner who
has sold more than 70 million records and is ranked in Billboard’s Top 50 most played artists over the past 50 years. His most-beloved songs include “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head,” “Hooked on a Feeling” and “(Hey Won’t You Play) Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song.”

Bruce In The U.S.A. has been confirmed to perform on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. In 2000, Matt Ryan began playing the Springsteen character in the World Famous “Legends In Concert” Las Vegas show. Not only did The Bruce In The U.S.A. band become the world’s #1 tribute to the Bruce Springsteen musical legacy, but also the E Street Band.
