Natalie Gelman performs at the new ‘Live at Dark Star’ music series

–Natalie Gelman will be touring through Paso Robles this weekend to perform at the new monthly “Live at Dark Star” music series at Dark Star Cellars.

The series features live music the first weekend of every month – it is often one of the only places on the Central Coast to see live music on a Sunday afternoon. Gelman will perform this Saturday, Feb 4 from 2-5 p.m. and on Sunday, Feb 5 from 12-3 p.m.

New York City born-and-raised modern day troubadour Gelman now calls Ojai home. The multi-talented singer/songwriter just released a special and video for ‘The Lion’ which premiered on the Huffington Post and “Unopened Letter,” a song she crowdsourced with 10 people who had never written a song before.

Raised in the old West Village stomping ground of numerous songwriting greats, Gelman—who has been compared favorably to Jewel, Sheryl Crow and Joni Mitchell–grew up amidst artists and true bohemians. She borrowed a friend’s guitar at 16, began composing songs on it immediately and began busking on subway platforms when she grew tired of pretending to be 21 to play clubs in the city.

Bring your own picnic or enjoy Dark Star snacks with your wine tasting.
