Local glassware company thriving

Ralph and Paula Byrd of Paso Robles launched a new business in 2011 to supply local wineries with the wine glasses they need to keep visitors tasting. The wine glass decorating business is thriving with new storage and room for equipment on Dry Creek Road.

The founded Distinctive Glassware to bring quality glassware decoration to the Central Coast of California.  “Whether your need is for event glass, wedding, tasting room, restaurant or corporate identity and marketing, we have a product to meet your need,” Ralph says.

“We offer screen printing, etch effect, laser etching and undecorated glassware. Our inks are among the highest quality organic glass inks available – certified lead free and cadmium free.  The result is a food-safe, dishwasher safe, “high performance” glass with a remarkable marriage of elegance, functionality and durability.”

From 12 glasses for a private party to 12,000 glasses for a major event, Distinctive Glassware stocks premium Stolzle crystal, Bohemia crystal and Cardinal glassware.  “We would love to have the opportunity to talk with you about your glassware needs,” Ralph says.

They offer 19 available screen print colors, 4 standard “etch effects” and 9 premium metallic shades.  The standard decoration includes single sided printing with a single stock color or etch effect ink using customer supplied press-ready artwork.  They can “take it to the next level” by adding double sided printing, custom colors or metallic inks.  Their art department has the capability to customize artwork as required and generates all of the film originals “in-house”. In addition to screen printing, they offer laser etching services.
