New ‘Tailgate Tasting’ event set for April 25 

Eight west-side wineries from Paso Robles are getting together for a, “Tailgate Tasting” on Saturday, April 25 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The public is invited to meet the winemakers, vineyard managers and owners from Aaron, Atla Colina, Clos Selene, Justin, Law Estate, L’Adventure, Rotta and Turley.

Tailgate tasting

Each winery will load their vinyard truck with a carefully chosen barrel from the cellar and a select release. The wineries will pour wine right out of the barrels, offer tastes to attendees and share their favorite appetizers.

Rotta Winery will be hosting the tasting event. Rotta is located at 250 Winery Road, in Templeton.

Valet parking and a vineyard shuttle service will be available. Two time slots are available: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Western attire is encouraged, and guests should plan to don vineyard appropriate footwear.

Tickets to the event are $120 and are expected to sell out quickly. The event will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. The participating wineries hope to raise $6,000 or more at the event. For more information or to purchase tickets, go to tailgatetasting.com or call (805) 296-1158.
