Viticulture, enology symposium coming to Paso in 2013

WINE BUSINESS MONTHLY WIVI LOGOWiVi Central Coast 2013, a newly expanded symposium and tradeshow, created to address issues facing the Central Coast Wine Business, will be held March 19-20, 2013 at the Paso Robles Event Center in Paso Robles, California. WiVi, an abbreviation of the words WINE and VITICULTURE, is the result of a partnership between Wine Business Monthly (WBM) based in Sonoma and Precision Ag Consulting of Paso Robles.

The expanded programming will bring a comprehensive viticulture and enology trade show and symposium to California’s booming Central Coast wine community. To lend their support to establishing WiVi as the pre-eminent wine industry trade show and symposium on the Central Coast, Criveller cancelled their Central Coast Wine Equipment Show for 2013 and will become a Platinum level sponsor of WiVi.

“WiVi Central Coast 2013 is Wine Business Monthly’s first foray into the wine and viticulture trade show business. We plan to bring the same editorial integrity and product-focused approach to WiVi Central Coast that we bring to all of our projects,” says Wine Business Monthly’s publisher Eric Jorgensen.

WiVi Central Coast 2013 will open with a visionary general session where wine industry leaders examine what makes the region special and it will conclude with a grand tasting featuring red blends from the Western United States. Throughout the two-day event, WiVi attendees can attend practical and applied educational sessions that will address the latest production trends, issues and challenges facing winemakers and wine grape growers. “We are pleased to be partnering with Wine Business Monthly to create a show unlike anything the Central Coast has seen for wineries, winegrape growers and wine industry suppliers,” says Lowell J. Zelinski, co-owner of Precision Ag Consulting.
