Niner Wine Estates President Andy Niner announced the appointment of Molly Bohlman as Associate Winemaker. Molly will devote the majority of her time running the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay programs, both of which are sourced from the Niner’s Jespersen Ranch estate vineyard in Edna Valley.

Bohlman worked most recently at CrossBarn Winery on the Sonoma Coast, with prior experience at Courtside Cellars in San Luis Obispo, Vina Robles in Paso Robles, and Gainey Vineyard in Santa Ynez. In her new position, Bohlman will work closely with Niner Winemaker Patrick Muran and will make wine in the winery’s stand-alone “craft” winery, perfectly designed for small-lot production of Pinot Noir.

Bohlman has degrees in viticulture management from Santa Rosa Junior College and in fruit science from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Her family also owns a vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills in Santa Barbara County.

Winemaker Patrick Muran comments, “We are extremely lucky to have found Molly. Not only does she have an amazing pedigree with years of experience with Edna Valley fruit but she is a perfect fit within our team as we increase our focus on enhancing the wine quality from our estate vineyards.”

Niner Wine Estates owns three estate vineyards in San Luis Obispo County, including Jespersen Ranch in Edna Valley, Bootjack Ranch and Heart Hill Vineyard in Paso Robles. The winery tasting room is open daily and more information is available at www.ninerwine.com
