Tickets on sale for The Nutcracker Ballet

The North County Dance and Performing Arts Foundation is presenting the 16th annual Nutcracker Ballet at the Templeton Performing Arts Center. Ticket sales began Nov. 4, and are available only through www.brownpapertickets.com, or at the door, pending availability. Call 805-610-7570 for information.

The classic holiday story comes to life at the PAC Dec. 5 through Dec 15, 2013. Featuring Joffre Ballet alumnus Michael Levine, Huntsville Ballet Principal Matthew Jacobs and local stand outs Shelby Fredrick and Tori Akers. Under the direction of Cheryle Armstrong and her staff of choreographers, this production features brilliant costumes and festive sets to compliment Tchaikovsky’s beloved musical score.

Nutcracker show times

  • Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 pm: Student Night/Open Dress rehearsal
  • Friday, Dec. 6 at 7:30 pm: Opening Night
  • Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2 pm
  • Sunday, Dec. 8 at 2 pm
  • Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 pm
  • Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2 pm
  • Sunday, Dec. 15 at 2 pm Final Performance

 

Nutcracker Ballet has come to be cherished by the local community as a traditional rendition of the holiday classic appropriate for audiences of all ages. Professional guest artists, over eighty members of the community, and professional choreographers come together to make this production truly grand. Cast members train at Class Act Dance Studio in Paso Robles, and dancers in the Paso Robles Chamber Ballet are featured in the leading roles.

The NCDPAF has dedicated itself to “Keeping the Arts Alive” through various performances which have included the Nutcracker Ballet, Let It Be, Mind, Body and Soul, Runway to Broadway, the Cinderella Ballet, and Ishtar.

About Student Night

This Open Dress Rehearsal is a “food-raiser” for The Food Bank. Tickets must be purchased at Class Act Dance office at 2508 Spring St, Paso Robles, CA. $5 per student, $20 for adults. Each student must bring a canned food item and a $5 ticket for admission. No reserved seats, first come, first served. Tickets for Student Night are not available online. Sales began Nov. 4, 2013 at Class Act Dance. Show time is 7 pm. Arrive at least 30 minutes early.
