The outdoor art show features dozens of acclaimed artists who exhibit artwork ranging from paintings, jewelry, drawings, ceramics, glass works, textiles, wood, photography and more. For more information, go to pasoartsfest.com.

A local Paso Robles artist, Jeff Weidler, created Metal Art by Jefe and is debuting his work at the Paso Arts Fest event. Metal Art by Jefe is images on metal, and feature unique images of classic cars which are metal art in themselves. His photo shots are of sections of classic cars, never the entire car. He focuses on hood ornaments, fenders, tail lights, dash boards, parts of panels, trunk logo’s, name plates etc… These images are cropped to the various size of the final platform and infused on metal. His tag line is, “Now you can own a piece of your dream.”

Paso Arts Fest Coordinator and Executive Director of Studios on the Park Sasha Irving said, “There were over 30 entries submitted in Jeff’s photography division and only eight were selected to participate in this year’s Downtown Park event.” She continues, “His art was selected due to the distinct style and focus that the selection committee really liked. It’s good to have a new, local artist participating.”

Weidler hopes to appeal to more than “car guys” with his metal images. The older classics had truly distinct pieces on the vehicles that will never be seen again. For example, a Hudson Hornet with an actual rocket as a nameplate on the trunk. There will be over 40 pieces displayed in his Canopy number 3 during the Artsfest on Saturday, from 10am to 4pm.
