Dec. 1, 2012 – Paso Robles cheerleaders performed today at the 805 Classic Cheerleading exhibition at Pioneer Valley High in Santa Maria. More than 30 young athletes came from California Gold Shockwaves to show off their talent and skills including stunts and tumbling.

They were joined in a packed gymnasium by parents and cheerleaders performing from five other area high schools. Coaches Cali Podesta, Laura Brian, Kristin Feavel and Amber Davis lead the local teams in the exhibition.

The cheerleaders perform in three teams grouped together by age and skill level: Youth, 11 and under, Juniors 14 and under, Senior All Stars, 18 and under. The Paso Robles teams compete across the state and train more than four hours a week at California Gold Gymnastics on Vanderlip Court in Paso Robles.
