Paso Robles city candidates disclose campaign finances

City council candidates, Paso Robles

John Hamon Jr. has raised the most campaign dollars – $12,495

Less than a month from the election, the candidates for Paso Robles City Council and Paso Robles mayor submitted campaign finance records through Sept. 30. The top Paso Robles City Council candidate fundraiser so far is John Hamon Jr., an incumbent, who has brought in $12,495. The next highest is current mayor, Duane Picanco, who has raised $11,888 for his city council seat bid, followed by Steve Gregory who has raised $11,576. Jim Reed has brought in $5,761. The candidate who has raised, and spent, the least is Pamela Avila, running for the city council. She raised $1,500, and has spent $4,617.

Running unopposed for Paso Robles mayor is Steve Martin, a current councilman, who has raised $8,266 — $635 of that was from Martin’s bid for the city council in the last election.
