“It’s all about comfort, quality, and design,” said Stephanie Turner, owner of Paso Robles Clothing Company. “We offer casual, quality clothing and accessories that are designed to fit the Paso lifestyle – and we offer it at a reasonable price.”
Raised on a ranch in the San Joaquin Valley, Turner has called the Central Coast her home for the past 16 years. Along with her children, Ryan, Holly and Joshua, and husband, Rob Giordano, she is thrilled to be living and working in San Luis Obispo County. Turner started developing Paso Robles Clothing Company in January, 2014. With a background in retail – her very first job out of high school was working at the mall – she first entered the business aspect of the industry with a clothing line geared towards female car-racing fans.
“My family was into auto racing, so we started a clothing line for the female race fans,” said Turner. “Over time, I realized that I didn’t enjoy being on the track so much. When it went through my mind that I wanted to start another clothing line I started thinking about how much I love Paso Robles – and that’s how I came to develop my new business, Paso Robles Clothing Company.”

Since the inception of her clothing company in January, Turner has sold items from her business Facebook account, her website, and via phone orders.
“I was just trying to promote Paso Robles Clothing Company through Facebook and before I knew it I started getting phone calls from people wanting to know how they could purchase our clothing,” said Turner.
Turner’s goal from the beginning was to develop her clothing business with a web presence before venturing into the brick and mortar world of retail selling. Currently existing as an online store – the official Paso Robles Clothing Company website was launched July 1 – Turner also has proven success with a presence on other social media sites such as Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram.
“My goal is to have a storefront for Paso Robles Clothing Company open by the spring of 2015,” said Turner. “I want it to be located downtown, right across from the park. I am just looking for the right spot; I’m working on it.”

“We put accurate sizes and descriptions, as well as photos, on our website,” said Turner. “And, of course, if you have any questions about anything, you can always call – we will be there to answer questions.”
In addition, if something doesn’t fit or is not to the customer’s liking, Paso Robles Clothing Company has a great return policy.
“There’s no charge to the customer to return a product,” said Turner, adding, “we will issue a refund or send them another size.”
With her company’s web presence, Turner said that she has a growing list of out-of-town customers, especially those from the Central Valley who want to take a bit of that Paso Lifestyle home after visiting the area. And she offers something a bit more enticing for the local crowd – in-home personal shopping!
“We can offer local customers the convenience of shopping with Paso Robles Clothing Company in the comfort of their own homes,” said Turner. “That is one aspect that sets us apart from other clothing companies in the area – we can bring items directly to the customer to try on and purchase. I like to put an emphasis on clothing that allows women to reflect the casual lifestyle that we enjoy here. Everyone wants to look and dress their best when going to all of the various events in Paso Robles and throughout San Luis Obispo County – from winery events to horse events to all the happenings in the downtown park.”
Photo shoots at local wineries
Speaking of winery events, Turner thought that it would be great to combine the Paso Robles wine lifestyle with her clothing selections – and that’s when she came up with the idea to have her clothing line photo shoots at area wineries. The combination of featuring stunning models, wearing the quality designs of Paso Robles Clothing Company, while showcasing the beauty of a local vineyard and winery has been a hit with not only the customers, but also with the winery owners as well.
“Our first photo shoot, for our August display, was at Cass Winery, followed by our September photo shoot at HammerSky,” said Turner. Their upcoming photo shoot for October will be at Venteux. “The photos are beautiful, and we write a blog entry about the featured winery when we are finished. We’ve had an excellent response from the wineries and we’ve had a lot of fun with it.”
Plans for expansion
It’s a Paso thing! Paso Robles Clothing Company is a local, family-owned and operated business offering clothing that exemplifies the Paso lifestyle.
Casual, comfortable, fun, trendy and with plans to expand, Paso Robles Clothing Company is just in the beginning stages of what Turner hopes to be a long and successful partnership with those looking to dress in style. Currently, Turner offers women’s and juniors clothing; she plans to add additional size options soon, including a full-size selection. Also in the works – a line of original clothing designs.
“We are working with a designer and we plan to have our own originals out in 2016, called Giordano Originals,” said Turner.
As she looks towards the future, Turner said she will never lose sight of one of the most important aspects of her business – that personal touch.
“I am involved in every aspect of Paso Robles Clothing Company and I will always be involved,” said Turner. “I think that’s what sets us apart –the personal touch.”
Although a newly-established business, Paso Robles Clothing Company has already lent support to local non-profits including the YMCA. Turner is working on becoming involved with the Boys and Girls Club as well as the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce and the Main Street Association. Although very busy running her clothing company, Turner finds time to stay active in her local church, Live Oak Community Church; assisting with 4-H projects for her youngest son; and volunteering in Templeton schools.
