Annual Dog Jog is March 22 

Dogs and their owners help raise funds for Sherwood Dog Park

Dog Jog, Paso RoblesGrab your favorite furry friend and head on out to the 6th Annual Paso Robles Dog Jog, benefiting the Sherwood Dog Park, on Saturday, March 22.

Dog Jog, Paso RoblesThe 2K and 4K run or walk for dogs and their owners takes participants through the beautiful Salinas River Walk area with routes starting and ending at Kennedy Club Fitness, located at 500 South River Road. With prizes, raffle drawings, medals, bandanas, and goodie bags for all racers, this dog-friendly event has become a favorite among community members.

Race check-in and a pancake breakfast, courtesy of the Lions Club, will be offered to all registered participants starting at 8 a.m., with the 2K and 4K races getting underway at 9 a.m. The race is open to runners and walkers on both routes and will take place rain or shine. Prizes will be awarded at 10 a.m. for the winners of five separate contests – best pooch smooch, most appropriate name, best smile, most unusual face and wildest wag.

Event sponsors include Kennedy Club Fitness, Rabobank, the REC Foundation, Paso Robles Press, Redbarn Naturals, Natural Balance, Lemos Feed & Pet Supply, the City of El Paso De Robles, Lions and Leo’s Club of North County, and County Supervisor Frank Mecham.

Early registration for the Dog Jog is just $15 until March 20; $20 through race day. Additional breakfast tickets are available for $5 each. To register, stop by Paso Robles Kennedy Club Fitness, visit www.parks4pups.org, or call (805) 239-4437.
