Paso Robles Friends of the Library hosts spring book sale
The Paso Robles Friends of the Library is having its annual Spring Book Sale Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 24-26, 2014, in the library conference room, 1000 Spring Street, Paso Robles, California.
Thousands of hardcover and paperback books, popular authors, in dozens of genres: romance, suspense, mystery, western, biography, history, other fiction and non-fiction, children’s books, collector sets, cookbooks, DVDs, books on CD, even books on tape and VHS at bargain prices, and buyers pay no sales tax. Shopping will be available to the general public Friday, April 25, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 26, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Materials will be available for just $1 per bag during the last hour of the book sale.
A special early access has been added for Friends of the Library members only: Thursday, April 24, noon to 7 p.m. Members will have exclusive, first access to popular titles.
If you are not yet a member of the Friends of the Library, you can enjoy early shopping by purchasing a membership at the door for as little as $10.00 per person. Take advantage of this opportunity to become a member of the Friends of the Paso Robles Library.
Over the past three years, the Paso Robles Friends of the Library has contributed almost $100,000 to supplement funding for the library. Funds are raised primarily by sales from the Friends Gift Store, fundraisers, used book sales, corporate donations, membership dues, and these book sales.
Commemorative 125th anniversary prints available
Local artist David Butz has created special limited edition prints of an iconic Paso Robles oak, as well as 12 additional one-of-a-kind, hand-colored prints. They will be on display and available for sale at the sale. Thirty percent of the purchase price will be donated to the Friends of the Library.
