Paso Robles Harvest Half Marathon set for this weekend

Harvest marathon

The Paso Robles Harvest Half Marathon this weekend will be filled with free live music, activities for kids, and delicious food prepared by award-winning chef Gregg Wangard.

The Harvest Half Marathon Weekend begins on Saturday with a pasta dinner and live music in Downtown City Park from 4–7 p.m. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Tickets for the pasta dinner are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Sunday is race day at Le Vigne Winery. Participants in the Harvest Half will receive a t-shirt, finisher’s medal, free picture, and breakfast. The top overall male and female finishers will win $500 each while second place will receive $250. The top finishers in each age group will go home with a bottle of Paso Robles wine. There will also be a special prize for the top 25 male and female finishers.

In addition to the half marathon, there will be a 5K, Youth 5K (children 14 and under), and a Kids’ Mile. The 5K and Youth 5K will be run at the same time so that families can run together. The Kids’ Mile starts at 8 a.m., Harvest Half at 8:30 a.m., and the 5K at 9 a.m.

During and after the race, there will be several brunch stations available at the finish line at Le Vigne. Stations will include pancakes, eggs benedict, French toast, and mimosas. Cost for brunch is $5 per station. The brunch will also have live music and activities for kids.

The Harvest Half Marathon is sponsored by the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District and the proceeds will benefit all students in the district. This is a family-friendly weekend and runners of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate. Everyone is encouraged to come out to Downtown City Park on Saturday and to Le Vigne on Sunday to support the runners and enjoy the event.
