New tasting room opens next to Villa Creek

Paso UndergroundA new wine tasting room, Paso Underground, opened recently in the back of the building that previously hosted Orchid Hill Tasting Room at 1140 Pine St. in Paso Robles. It’s a collective tasting room of winemakers pouring their vintages.

“Paso Underground is open!” says Guillaume Fabre, the proprietor of Clos Solene, a boutique wine label producing Rhone-styled Paso Robles wines.

Other winemakers pouring at Paso Underground include Aaron Jackson, who pours on the weekends and Edmond August. Additionally, wines from Turtle Rock Vineyard are poured at the location.

Paso Underground on Yelp:

Deep in the hills of Westside Paso, there is a group of winemakers crafting small lots of critically acclaimed wines that rarely reach the public eye before being sold out. Now, four of these winemakers have joined together to form the collective tasting room Paso Underground. Featuring the wines of Aaron, Clos Solene, Edmond August, and Turtle Rock Vineyards, guests can taste the wines from some of Westside Paso Robles’ most up and coming winemakers in their converted “garage” space in downtown Paso Robles. Each winemaker produces less than 500 cases each year, utilizing fruit from the very best vineyards in Paso Robles.
