– Robert Henson, previously of Tooth and Nail Winery, has joined the team at Peachy Canyon Winery as winemaker. Henson brings decades of experience in the food and wine industries to Peachy Canyon. Prior to his stint with Rob Murray Vineyards at Tooth and Nail, Henson worked on his craft with veteran winemaker Michael Michaud. Following his time with Michaud, Henson served as winemaker for at a small winery in Santa Cruz Mountains.

When asked about his new position, Henson expressed his enthusiasm, saying that it’s not every day the opportunity comes along to work for one of Paso Robles’ founding family owned wineries. Henson says he plans on applying his passions for balance, varietally-correct, and terroir-driven winemaking to Peachy Canyon’s existing award winning wine program beginning with the upcoming 2015 harvest.

Founding vintner and proprietor Doug Beckett said, “The Beckett family is proud to announce the appointment of Robert Henson as Winemaker for Peachy Canyon Winery. It’s an opportunity that does not often occur to have someone with such experience and skill join our team. The entire team is eager to work with Robert, and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”

Peachy Canyon was just named one of the Top 101 Wineries in America by The Daily Meal for the second year in a row.
