Pioneer Park Restroom Upgrades Complete
Pioneer Park restroom upgrades finished
The upgrades to the Pioneer Park restrooms on Riverside Drive next to the Paso Robles Event Center are complete. Upgrades include new fixtures and plumbing including toilets, sinks, soap dispensers and hand dryers. New paint, light fixtures and a roof have also been finished. The restrooms now meet ADA accessibility requirements.
C3 Construction & Development, Inc. of Paso Robles accomplished the work. The restrooms at the park were built by volunteers in the late 1970’s. Pioneer Park is home to the Pioneer Skate Park, a baseball diamond, children’s playground, large grass picnic area and the Pioneer Museum.
The city stepped in to finish the job after a volunteer group made a diligent, but incomplete, attempt to repair the bathrooms. The city approved $54,472 to repair the restrooms at its regular meeting Nov. 20, 2012.
