Police issue traffic alert for Pioneer Day Parade
Advisory: Pioneer Day Parade Information from Paso Robles Police Department
This Saturday, Oct. 11 marks the 84th Annual Pioneer Day Parade. The parade begins at 10 a.m. on Spring Street at 16th and with approximately 190 entries it could run three hours.
Streets throughout the downtown area will be closed beginning at 5 a.m. The closure will be reduced to the city park area after the parade route is cleared.
The police advise residents to plan travels accordingly and expect delays and detours.
The Paso Robles 125th Anniversary Committee is hosting a Fun Fair on the east side of City Park following the parade where attendees will be able to enjoy old-fashioned games, a bake-off and ale garden. The Pioneer Day Committee is hosting an antique tractor and wagon display on 12th Street between Park and Pine from 1 to 3 p.m. and a street dance on Pine Street featuring Monte Mills and the Lucky Horseshoe Band from 2 to 5 p.m. All post parade festivities conclude at 5 p.m.
