Police seek suspect in hit-and-run

Police and emergency vehicles responded Friday evening to north Spring Street when witnesses called in to report a traffic collision with injuries and a possible DUI, said Paso Robles Police Lt. Tim Murphy. The accident was reported at about 6 p.m., he said.

When police arrived they closed Spring Street at 34th Street because a victim’s dark blue passenger car was in the middle of the road and a hit-and-run suspect had fled the scene, he said.

The suspects vehicle, a yellow van, was located at 34th and Park. No arrest has been made and the suspect is at large. No other details were available a press time.

Police are asking the public to come forward with any information that may help solve this crime, Murphy says. The non-emergency phone line for the police department is (805) 237-6464.
