Display will be held until Sept. 12

– The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District is conducting a public display of textbooks and educational materials for the following courses at Paso Robles High School: Computer Applications/Web Design (Dual Enrollment with Cuesta College) and Marine Biology.

The public display will be held from now until Sept. 12 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the lobby of the district office located at 800 Niblick Road. The purpose of the public display is to provide the community the opportunity to give input on the recommended materials before submission to the PRJUSD Board of Trustees for adoption.

Discovering Computers & Microsoft Office 365 & Office 2016: A Fundamental Combined Approach delivers a single resource for a beginning computers course. This book encourages critical thought, personalization, and experimentation with the latest Microsoft Office 365 and 2016 software. Updated and revised computer concepts content throughout this edition reflect the evolving needs of today’s introductory computing students, focusing exclusively on the skills students need to be successful in college and beyond. This textbook was selected by Cuesta College for use in its dual enrollment course with PRHS.

Marine Science is adapted from the Marine Biology text and broadens its coverage with the addition of three new oceanography chapters to help students better understand the ocean’s physical aspects. It contains expanded content with a new design, learning system, updated features, data analysis labs, new lab manual, and comprehensive digital package. This textbook was selected through a teacher review.

The PRJUSD Board of Trustees will be presented with this curriculum at their regular meeting on Sept. 13.
