Rain brings season total to 3.12-inches 

rain–The City of Paso Robles Water Division recorded .05 inches over the last 24 hours, bringing the total for the season to 3.12-inches. To view current rainfall totals, click here. 

More rain is expected today, according to Weather Underground. There is a 65-percent chance of rain on Thursday, then conditions are expected to clear up over the weekend.

The California Highway Patrol reminds citizens that wet roads can cause dangerous driving conditions. Hydroplaning can occur in as little as 1/16 of an inch of water, according to Public Informations Officer Patrick Seebart. Seebart reminds citizens to give themselves extra time to get to their destination so they are not driving in a hurry on the wet roads, and leave extra distance between their vehicle and the vehicles around them.

Wet weather driving tips:

  • Apply brakes more gently to avoid skidding.
  • Do not use cruise control on wet roadways
  • Slow down
  • Avoid distractions.
