Ranchita Canyon 4-H celebrates the holiday season 

The club had a Christmas party on Dec. 7, where they collected food for the Food Bank, Toys for Tots, and Coats for Kids. There was a costume contest and Santa came to visit.

Club collected donations, crafted with the elderly, and celebrated the season

–This week, the Ranchita Canyon 4-H Club released news of several different donation efforts and activities that they conducted over the holiday season.

In November, the Ranchita Canyon 4-H Sheep Group contributed to The Season of Hope toy and food drive as a community service project. They collected games, toys and non-perishable food items. They met during their monthly sheep meeting at the Paso Robles Grange.

On Dec. 19, Ranchita Canyon 4H members went caroling for donations in a Paso Robles neighborhood behind Haggens. Bags were left on doorsteps the week before with a list of donation items needed. As members picked up bags of donation items, they left candy canes and sang carols. Over 140 pounds of food was collected, and over 5 bags each of items went to RISE and the North County Humane Society.
