Resurfacing of Highway 41 begins August 1 

Project is estimated to be finished in Septembercaltrans-1

– A resurfacing of State Route 41 five miles north of Hwy. 46 East near Cholame will begin Monday, Aug. 1. Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Motorists will encounter one-way reversing traffic control Monday through Thursday during the overnight hours from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. and Fridays from midnight until 6 a.m.

Electronic message boards will be activated on State Route 41 and Hwy. 46 East to advise motorists of this road work. Motorists can expect delays not to exceed 10 minutes. This project will resurface a one-mile section of State Route 41.

The contractor for this $503,000 project is Granite Construction of Santa Barbara. This project is expected to be completed this September.
