Expect road closures on Riverside Ave. from Nov. 12-22

The city of Paso Robles’ project to upgrade sewer pipelines in Riverside Avenue is moving into the final road paving stage, the city reports. This will involve road closures and detours beginning Tuesday, Nov. 12. During the paving operation there will be rotating road closures and detours as the contractor paves each section along Riverside from 11th to 14th streets. Motorists are encouraged to pay attention to the detour signs and if possible choose alternate routes.

The road paving is the final stage of a city project to upgrade sewer pipelines in Riverside Avenue from 11th, near Dewar gas station, to 14th, and in front of the Maytag store. The pipelines have now been installed and the contractor will move on to paving the road above the sewer lines. The temporary cold mix asphalt patches will be removed and replaced with hot mix asphalt for permanent repair of the road.

Work is expected to begin on Tuesday, November 12 and last through Friday, Nov. 22. Contact Public Works at (805) 237-3861 if you have questions.
