Council services greater area of San Miguel for land use planning, development and community county relations

–The San Miguel Advisory Council will hold elections at its meeting June 15 at the San Miguel Community Center. During the election meeting there will be candidate information and question session beginning at 6 p.m. Voting will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and the general meeting will begin at 7 p.m.

The San Miguel Advisory Council is comprised of seven locally elected council members and two alternates that make up and represent each part of San Miguel’s unique and diverse culture. The council is an advisory liaison between the community, San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors and Planning Department and services the greater San Miguel area, northern Salinas River planning area, northern El Pomar-Estrella planning area, and eastern Adelaida planning area; with regards to land use planning, development, and as well as fostering community county relations.

The council meets every fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. in the San Miguel Community Center located off of 13th Street. For further information contact Mike Sanders on (805) 712-9120.
