– San Miguel Community Services District Director Anthony “Bear” Kalvans announces his entry into the San Luis Obispo County First Supervisorial district race. He joins Paso Robles Mayor Steve Martin and City Councilman John Hamon in the race for the seat currently held by Frank Mecham.

“Our Supervisorial district encompasses more than the city of Paso Robles, it is made up of many people, both urban and rural, whom deserve to have their voices heard.” said Kalvans.

“It is truly unfortunate that despite going through several droughts in the past, the solutions the board of supervisors has pushed forward with has mostly benefited consultants while projects still remain unfunded. I want to start moving forward with the other projects on the table so I can create a stable future for our grandchildren and their grandchildren,” he said.

“My parents come from a military background. They always taught me the importance of serving and to leave things in a better way then you found them, which is why I have dedicated my professional life to helping our communities.”

Kalvans is a member of the San Miguel Lions Club, San Miguel Advisory Council, and Native Sons.
