Scarecrows lurking downtown Paso Robles in 2012
Local business are getting in the spirit of the Halloween season by decorating the shops and displaying scarecrows. The scarecrows were created by local students as classroom projects and adopted by the local businesses.
Shoppers are invited to vote for their favorite scarecrow. The contest is sponsored by the Downtown Paso Robles Main Street Merchants.
The association is hosting a “Safe & Fun Halloween Downtown” on Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 4-7 p.m. Locals are invited to bring their children trick-or-treating at the local businesses. Visitors can get their photo taken with witches, win a pumpkin carving contest or enjoy a barbecue in the city park.
