Sheriff’s Office hosts violence prevention program for youths 

Sheriff's Office​The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office announced the summer schedule for this year’s Sheriff’s Youth Camps. This year there will be three camps for elementary and middle school children.

The camps are part of a violence prevention program taught by trained law enforcement officers. The summer camps are free and provide fun activities and games while teaching children how to avoid taking part in bullying, violence and gangs. They encourage kids to make responsible choices in their lives.

Here are the dates and locations for the following Sheriff’s Youth Camps: ​

June 16-20, Mesa Middle School in Arroyo Grande.
July 28 – Aug. 1, Cayucos Elementary School in Cayucos
​Aug. 4-8, Templeton High School in Templeton​
