–The community is invited to attend the 14th Annual Sponsor Appreciation Dinner for the Paso Robles High School Skills USA chapter. The cost is $15 per person and will be held May 25 at the Culinary Arts Center at 6 p.m. The evening will include dinner served by the 32 State Skills USA medalists for 2016.

The guest speaker is Patrick Sayne, retired Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Superintendent. Sayne has been a longtime proponent of Career Technical Education and Skills USA. Under Sayne, PRHS attended its first Skills USA National Leadership & Skills Conference in 2003 with instructors John Stokes and Randy Canaday and students Matt Herman (Electrical Wiring) and Steve Wagner (Marine Service). Since 2003, PRHS Skills USA has sent students every year (as many as 18 at once) to attend the national conference in Louisville, Kentucky.

Honored guests at the dinner will include 47 business & industry partners who have contributed funds to the SkillsUSA program. Donation levels are recognized as Gold ($1000+), Silver ($500-$999), and Bronze (up to $499). Randy Canaday, SkillsUSA advisor says, “Paso Robles is an amazing community. Many of these same contributors to SkillsUSA also support several other programs for PRHS.”

RSVP no later than May 24 by sending an email to Randy Canaday rcanaday@pasoschools.org or call (805) 674-4170.
