Soul Kitchen night is the last Thursday of every month

Wellness Kitchen
The Wellness Kitchen and Resource Center is hosting a Soul Kitchen night Thursday, June 26 from 6-8 p.m. It’s held last Thursday of every month and The public is invited to attend.

Wellness Kitchen by day becomes “Soul Kitchen” by night featuring live music by the popular local band Days Alone, wine tasting by Dusi Winery and dinner prepared by The Wellness Kitchen. It’s an enjoyable evening and a great way to take a closer look at the programs and services provided by The Wellness Kitchen and Resource Center.

Just $20 at the door benefits the Pay It Forward program to assist those in critical need of the Healing Foods; carefully prepared food for qualified individuals, referred by doctors or other health care professionals, who are going through chemotherapy for cancer or treatment/recovery from other acute illness such as diabetes, Crohn’s, celiac and heart disease, food allergies and other diseases.

With the financial challenges of operating as a nonprofit organization, local doctors, hospitals, medical centers have recognized the contribution to their patient’s treatment and recovery, stepping up with amazing support. The doctors, nurses, and staff regularly refer The Wellness Kitchen to their patients for healing food and wellness food programs, educational classes, hands-on guidance on nutrition and the daily lunch program. Private donors, foundations and our community continue to support the programs with the funding that allows the healing work to continue.

For complete information on programs, classes and services, visit www.TheWKRC.org, call 805-434-1800 or visit The Wellness Kitchen and Resource Center at 1255 Las Tablas Road in Templeton, next to Heritage Oaks Bank.
