Storms yield almost 2 inches of rain in Paso Robles

Updated Feb. 10 to correct season total to 8.78 inches:

Storms moving through Paso Robles this weekend dropped almost 2 inches of rainfall, according to city records.

At 7 a.m. Saturday morning, the city’s rain gauge recorded 1.15 inches for the previous 24 hours. On Sunday morning, .27 inches were noted, and Monday an additional .53 inches. The city’s rainfall gauge is located at the Paso Robles Water Yard, 1230 Paso Robles Street, near Highway 101 and 13th street.

The recorded 1.95 inches over the weekend bring the season total to 8.78 inches. That’s more rain than the last two season. The 2013-14 rain season of 6.13 inches and the 2012-13 saw 7.18 inches. The local rainfall season runs July through June.
