Students to host forum for board of trustees candidates

Forum will be hosted Oct. 12 at 7 p.m.school-district

– Students in the Paso Robles High School Advanced Placement Government class will be hosting a forum for the candidates running for the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District Board of Trustees. The forum is open to the public and will be held on Wednesday, October 12, in the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m.

All five candidates running for office have been invited to attend. The candidates are: Chris Bausch, Dave Lambert, Don Goldammer, Joel Peterson, and Joan Summers. There are four seats up for election on Nov. 8.

The forum is being held to provide information to the community; it is not a debate. The forum will be run by a student committee. Candidates will have two minutes to introduce themselves and then will be asked eight questions that they have not seen in advance. Each candidate will have 90 seconds to answer and the order will rotate. Audience members will be allowed to submit questions and the forum student committee will select which questions are presented to the candidates. The forum will end with a closing statement from each participant.
