Templeton Area Advisory Group to make appointments following resignations
Last Thursday, at a regular meeting of the Templeton Area Advisory Group (TAAG), Chairman William A. Pelfrey, Delegate Wayne Gretter and Alternate Delegate Jeff Debrish resigned from their positions on the board of directors.
“TAAG recognizes Mr. Pelfrey’s past service as a community activist as well as Mr. Debrish and Mr. Gretter services as TAAG delegates and we wish them well in their new pursuits,” TAAG says in a press release.
“The remaining members of TAAG look forward to a new beginning in fulfilling TAAG’S mission to the community to evaluate land use policy, residential and commercial development in Templeton, providing feedback to the Board of Supervisors and the County Planning Commission on behalf of the community.”
TAAG’s next regular meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the Templeton Community Services District meeting room located at the corner of 5th and Crocker in the community of Templeton.
TAAG is seeking nominations for appointment to the board to fill one directorship and two alternate positions for the remainder of the term, which ends in March 2017. Candidates must be a registered voter in SLO County and reside within the boundaries of TAAG, which are the same as the Templeton Unified School District boundaries.

The purpose of TAAG is to solicit community input and review proposed development in the Templeton area, as well as provide input on county land use plans and ordinances. When reviewing proposed development, TAAG uses established county standards, area plans and the Templeton Community Design Plan as guidelines for its recommendations. After public review, TAAG reports its recommendations to county officials.
