Templeton Music Festival is Sunday, May 18

Templeton Rotary Music Festival

The Rotary Club of Templeton is presenting its 4th Annual Templeton Music Festival on Sunday, May 18th at 3 p.m. This signature event is a fun and entertaining community event held at the Templeton Performing Arts Center, hosted by radio personality and entertainer, Chad Stevens, and featuring San Luis Obispo County’s finest musical talent.

Much like American Idol, the audience will choose the winners in each of three categories:

ACADEMIC
– Atascadero High School Show Choir will face Cuesta College’s premier jazz ensemble, Voce, as well as Paso Robles High School’s Las Voces Celestiales. This is quite a match-up and sure to entertain!

COMMUNITY – Central Coast Celebration Chorus will go head-to-head with the Central Coast Choir.

ARTISTIC EXPRESSION – Recording artist Athena Sorensen, will challenge Templeton High School folk guitarist Joseph Seyedan, along with The Middle Eastern Percussion Ensemble, all promising fresh, and exciting music to wow the listeners!

Proceeds from the event will support vocal arts in our community and provide much-needed funding for local school music programs. First place contestants in the Academic category stand to win up to $1,000 with the Community and Artistic Expression category purses up to $800.

Tickets are $10 pre-sale and available online at www.templetonmusicfestival.com or the Templeton Chamber of Commerce, 321 S. Main Street. Tickets, if still available, will be $15 at the door. The Templeton Performing Arts Center is located on the campus of Templeton High School on Main Street.
