COMMUNITY WORKSHOP TO DISCUSS WASTEWATER RATESCommunity workshop to discuss wastewater rate increase in Templeton

The Templeton Community Services District’s will be holding a workshop addressing the need to increase the wastewater (sewer) service rates. The workshop will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013, beginning at 6:30p.m. at the Templeton Community Center located at 601 South Main Street. The public is encouraged to attend.

The Templeton CSD periodically examines utility customers’ service needs, mandated programs, capital improvement programs, and operations and maintenance services. If additional revenues are needed to provide funding for these services and programs, rec01mnendations for rate increases are made to the Board of Directors. This notice is being sent to all patties receiving a utility bill within the Templeton Community Services District. It is anticipated that wastewater rates will increase sometime in 2013.

Why Change Rates?

The public is encouraged to come learn about water and wastewater costs and improvements to the District’s system. Wastewater costs have increased over time. Information will address where and why these costs have increased. A presentation will also be given on future capital improvement projects.

The Board of Directors will consider all comments and objections, if any, to future rate increases. The Board of Directors encourages people to participate in this process. Any questions regarding information in this notice may be directed to the Templeton Community Services District at (805) 434-4900.
