Ulta Beauty set to open at Target shopping center

Nationwide company leases new space in Paso Robles

There’s been a lot of talk going around town regarding the new shops under construction near Target and Ross in The Crossings shopping center. And now, with temporary signs and banners announcing the arrival of Ulta Beauty, set to open in September in the former Office Max location, the excitement is building.

“We can confirm that there is an Ulta Beauty store opening soon in Paso Robles,” said Audrey Rhoads, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at Donahue Schriber, the real estate firm that owns and operates the center. “We are very excited about Ulta coming to the area and we feel that the consumers in Paso Robles will absolutely love the store — it has wonderful cosmetics, hair products, a beauty bar and more.”

A sign on the store front encourages potential employees to apply online at careers.ulta.com/jobs for a number of positions at the new location on Theatre Drive. A quick glance at the company website shows jobs available for beauty advisers, estheticians, hair stylists, merchandise and service coordinators, and more.

Information on the Ulta Beauty website describes the company as “the largest beauty retailer that provides one-stop shopping for prestige, mass and salon products and salon services in the United States” and goes on to state that it “provides affordable indulgence to its customers by combining unmatched product breadth, value and convenience with the distinctive environment and experience of a specialty retailer.”

The site further states that Ulta Beauty offers “a unique combination of over 20,000 prestige and mass beauty products across the categories of cosmetics, fragrance, hair care, skincare, bath and body products and salon styling tools” as well as full-service salons and a wide range of salon hair care products in all of its stores. Currently, there are 696 Ulta Beauty retail stores in 46 states, with corporate offices based in Illinois.

Rhoads denied the addition of a Sports Authority franchise to the shopping center at this time, putting aside rumors that many locals have been hoping were true about the sporting goods store’s arrival in Paso Robles. “There are currently no plans for a Sports Authority to open in The Crossings center,” said Rhoads.
