Umpqua Bank hires new local bankers

Umpqua Bank

Umpqua Bank

Umpqua Bank is expanding its Central Coast Agriculture and Commercial Banking team with the addition of Julie Diffenbaugh as vice president and commercial relationship manager and Katie Filipponi as an assistant vice president and senior underwriter. Umpqua Bank has an office in downtown Templeton.

Diffenbaugh and Filipponi join a team led by 20-year industry veteran Mark Pearce, which provides business financing, including operating, equipment and real estate loans, to farmers, ranchers and other local Central Coast businesses.

“As Umpqua continues to grow our presence in the Central Coast, we are so pleased to add Julie and Katie,” said Mark Pearce, senior vice president and central coast agriculture and commercial banking center manager. “Their knowledge of the local industry and commitment to the community will be essential in helping to serve the needs of commercial and agricultural customers in the area.”

Before joining Umpqua, Diffenbaugh and Filipponi worked together in the industry for more than 10 years. They are each active contributors to the central coast community and are involved in organizations, including local farm bureaus, Cattlemen’s and Cattlewomen’s associations and AgVenture programs in area classrooms.

Umpqua Bank, headquartered in Roseburg, Ore., has locations across Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California and Northern Nevada.
