Urgent Care Twin Cities becomes MedPost

MedPost

Urgent care facility Vine & 1st streets renamed MedPost Urgent Care

Urgent Care by Twin Cities Community Hospital, located in Paso Robles now has a new name: MedPost Urgent Care. While continuing its partnership with Twin Cities Community Hospital, the center becomes part of a new and growing national network of urgent care centers launched by Tenet Healthcare currently consisting of 23 urgent care centers in eight states.

Although it will have a new name, the urgent care center will continue to be staffed with the same physicians and other healthcare professionals. The walk-in center will be open seven days a week with extended hours to provide high quality care for residents in their communities.

“Our goal is to provide the right type of care at the right time in a convenient and compassionate way,” said Paso Robles MedPost Urgent Care, medical director Lisa Vasak MD. “We play an important role in providing timely care for people when their primary care physician is not available and also for those individuals who are without a regular doctor, relieving the strain on busy emergency departments that are equipped to handle more serious patient conditions.”

MedPost Urgent Care centers provide follow-up care and specialty referrals when needed. They are staffed with physician specialists in primary care, internal medicine and emergency medicine, as well as nurse practitioners and other health professionals. The facilities are equipped with X-ray and laboratory capabilities and provide a comprehensive array of services ranging from flu shots and other immunizations to treatment for such things as upper respiratory infections, sinus problems, allergic reactions, fever, ear aches and orthopedic injuries.

Twin Cities Community Hospital’s CEO Mark Lisa said, “We are proud to be a partner with MedPost Urgent Care to provide quality, convenient care. By renaming our Urgent Care by Twin Cities as part of the MedPost network, we will be able to participate in building a strong, trusted network of urgent care centers around the country.”

Currently, MedPost Urgent Care centers are located in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas. Most were operating under a variety of different names prior to being rebranded as MedPost; three of the centers are brand new. The goal is to double the number of MedPost facilities by the end of 2014.
