Trip is fully funded for the veterans

–Honor Flight Central Coast California has begun to fill their next two flights and have exhausted their list of WWII veterans. The trip for the veterans is fully funded by donations. “Guardians” can be a family member, friend or be supplied by Honor Flight CCC. The Guardians pay $1500.

The first flight leaves SLO Regional Airport on April 24, at 6 a.m. and returns on April 26, 2017 with the last flight in from Phoenix. The second flight leaves SLO Regional Airport on May 22, at 6 a.m. and returns on May 24, 2017 with the last flight in from Phoenix.

If you know of any WWII, Korean or Viet Nam veterans that have not been on a flight, please either have them fill out an application or contact one of our board members (a list of board members and their contact numbers are on the web site).

Their primary concern is WWII veterans, but the organization welcomes the applications from the other conflicts as well. If a veteran from any conflict has a terminal condition that precludes that veteran from going their group they can be placed on any earlier flight.

An application can be found on the HonorFlightccc.org web site that can be filled out, saved and then e-mailed to honorflightccc@gmail.com or mailed to P.O. Box 1750, Paso Robles, CA 93447. This application is also good for those interested in being a guardian and accompanying a veteran on a flight.
