Wellness Kitchen to host ‘Top Chef’ competition

The Wellness Kitchen and Resource Center will present the 4th annual Top Chef Competition on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Estrella Warbird Museum at 4251 Dry Creek Road in Paso Robles. It’s a lively event and night of entertainment as three local chefs go “head-to-head” in a timed competition.

The chefs are Jacob Lovejoy of Cass Winery, Chef Adam White of Twin Cities Community Hospital and Chef Hector Giancarlo Perez Scolari of Daou Vineyards. Three time competition winner, Chef Alex Martin, owner of Crush Catering will be serving and a judge and assist in dinner preparation.

The judges are Alex Martin of Crush Catering, Dr. Darya Boland of Salus Integrative Medicine, and local restauranteur Jay Walston, owner of Indigo Moon in Cambria. Local celebrity Chad Stevens is the Master of Ceremonies.

Guests will enjoy a dinner prepared by the volunteers of The Wellness Kitchen, guided by past competing chefs: Chef Jeffry Wiesinger of Jeffry’s Catering, Chef Nick Otto, sous chef Villa Creek, and Cheri Eastwood Vaughn of Vic’s Cafe.

Tickets are $100 per person, $700 for table of eight, and are available at eventbrite.com, topchefcompetition.com, by calling (805) 434-1800 or at the kitchen, located at 1255 Las Tablas Road in Templeton.
