Wildland fire burns near airport
Cal Fire crews and the Paso Robles Fire Department responded to small roadside fire near the Paso Robles Airport Monday afternoon. At 3:07 p.m. Cal Fire crews reported “assisting Paso Robles Fire with a structure and wild land fire on Airport Road near the airport.”
When firefighters arrived they extinguished a small vegetation fire. There were no structures damaged or injuries reported.
An eyewitness who saw the burn area yesterday said it is just passed the old Adobe church. “It looks like it burned about 500-600 feet of grass just off the side of the road passed the runoff ditch,” the witness said.
