Update: Highway 46 East closed due to overturned semi truck

–Highway-46 east is closed at this time as CHP tries to clear the roadway of the overturned semi-trucks and trailers.

Traffic is being turned around near the Shandon Rest Area and at Highway-33 and Highway-46 on the Kern County Side.

–As of Friday at 11:20 a.m., Templeton California Highway Patrol is on the way to a collision at Highway-41 and Highway-46 at the “Y.” Reports are that a semi-truck and trailer blew over in the wind, and traffic lanes are blocked.

Additionally, a second collision was reported 1 mile north of the tipped over truck and trailer. CHP says the only information they have is that it’s an overturned vehicle.
