Woman dies in early morning accident on Spring Street

Early Friday morning at 1:15 a.m. a patrol officer from the Paso Robles Police Department discovered a solo vehicle rollover traffic collision at the intersection of 3rd and Spring Streets.

The involved vehicle was traveling southbound on Spring Street when for reasons unknown it collided with at least one parked vehicle, which caused it to then strike the curb and roll on to its driver side. As a result of this collision, the driver of the vehicle suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The adult female driver is not being identified until next-of-kin notification has been completed. There were no passengers in the vehicle and no other persons were injured during this event. It is unknown at this stage in the investigation if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision.

The police received assistance from the Paso Robles Department of Emergency Services and is coordinating follow-up investigation with coroner investigators from the SLO County Sheriff’s Department. This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information regarding the collision is encouraged to call the Paso Robles Police Department.
