– Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Luis Obispo County will be conducting its 2015 Community Support Campaign from Sept. 22 through Dec. 31. The agency hopes to raise $112,000 to support their youth mentoring programs in the coming year.

This year’s fundraising will include a “Zombie Bowl for Kids’ Sake” party at Paso Bowl on Oct. 23. Executive Director Anna Boyd-Bucy said, “The funds raised will provide for targeted and careful volunteer recruiting, screening and matching, as well as ongoing support for volunteers, children, and families, ensuring child safety and sustaining successful long-term relationships with positive outcomes.”

They will also be hosting a kickoff reception at Mother’s Tavern in San Luis Obispo on Sept. 22 from 5 – 6:30 p.m.
