21st Annual Parkfield Rodeo starts May 24

The World’s Largest Ranch Rodeo The 21st Annual Parkfield Rodeo will be held May 24-26, 2013 in the beautiful rural community of Parkfield, California. It has been earmarked as “Earthquake Capital of the World”.

Cowboys and cowgirls come from all different areas in the West, and will participate in Bronc riding, team roping, team penning, barrel racing and team branding, to name just a few of the events. There will be professional cowboys and cowgirls, ranch cowboys, weekend cowboys and people just wanting to participate in an action packed weekend.

Rodeo performances are 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets may be purchased at the gate, they will be sold by the Parkfield 4-H club. The ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6 to 10. There will be vendors selling various items from jewelry to western art.

From the East, Northeast or Southeast: Take Interstate-5 S or N depending Take CA-41 S or CA-46 N Turn right at Cholame Valley Rd (15.5 mi) Turn right at Parkfield Coalinga Rd Parkfield is 1/4 mile ahead From the South: Take US-101 N Take the CA-46 exit toward Fresno/Bakersfield Turn right at CA-46 E (23.2 mi) Head northeast on CA-41/CA-46 toward Davis Rd (2.0 mi) Turn left at Cholame Valley Rd (15.5 mi) Turn right at Parkfield Coalinga Rd Parkfield is 1/4 mile ahead.
