Alex Ho wins Paso Robles Harvest Marathon
Alex Ho of San Francisco won the Paso Robles Harvest Marathon this morning.
The 29-year old took the lead after mile 20 to win with an unofficial time of 3:01:06.
Pepe Gonzales, 20, won the 5k race in 16:17.
2012 Paso Robles Marathon results
Over 250 runners registered for the 26-mile marathon and 3.1-mile 5k, according to race director Julie Opheim.
The marathon began at 7:30 a.m. on the north east side of town at Le Vigne Winery on Buena Vista Road.
The runners wound their way around Hog Canyon Road to Estrella Road to River Road to Wellsona Road to Airport Road. It ended back at winery.
There were 140 entries in the full marathon, 24 in the relay and 90 in the 5k run.
The races are hosted by the Paso Robles Rotary club and is a fundraiser for local charities and scholarships.
