$500,000 grant to improve Union Road
The Paso Robles City Council accepted a $500,000 grant this week for road improvements on Union Road.
The the short span of road between Kleck and Montebello Oaks road is badly in disrepair. Tuesday night the council approved a Bicycle Transportation Grant that will include new bike lanes and pavement for vehicles.
Engineering studies will begin in the next few months and the road work could be completed by fall of 2013, according to City Manager Jim App.
