805 Elite Volleyball Club sends first team to Nationals 

The team consists of the following players: Dylan van Rooyen (SLO High), Olivia Goodwin (Mission Prep), Phoebe Corgiat (Paso Robles), Elaina Bosshardt (Mission Prep), Grace Devaney (Arroyo Grande), Taylor MacCuish (Arroyo Grande), Brooke Fledderman (Mission Prep), Whitney Thompson (Arroyo Grande), Jahnine Ricafrente (Righetti), Kayla Craft (SLO High), Mackenzie Wright (Atascadero) and Makenna Wolfe (Arroyo Grande). Coaches are Cal Poly Volleyball Volunteer Assistant Chip Blaney and Morro Bay Varsity Girl’s and Boy’s Coach James Bueno.

–During the final weekend of April, the 17 and Under 805 Elite Volleyball Team Qualified for the prestigious Girls Junior National Tournament which will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana July 1st through 5th. By finishing in 3rd Place at the Northern California Far Westerns National Qualifier, they become the first 805 Elite Team to earn this extremely coveted opportunity, and the first team the Central Coast has sent to Nationals in over a decade.

“We are very humbled and honored to have been able to accept a bid to play in the Girls Junior National Tournament,” said Chip Blaney, Head Coach for 805 Elite. The hard work and determination of our players as well as the support and commitment of their parents has allowed us the opportunity to take part in this prominent tournament and represent 805 Elite Volleyball and San Luis Obispo proudly,”

805 Elite becomes one of only 36 Teams that will play in the 17 USA Division of the National Tournament in Indianapolis. The Team is comprised of the top Volleyball Athletes from 6 San Luis Obispo County High Schools and will hold tryouts for the 2020 Season on August 3 and 4.

805 Elite Volleyball Club was established in 2010 and is the preeminent Junior Volleyball Club for Boys and Girls on the Central Coast and offers both Travel and Non-Travel training for players ranging in age from Kindergarten through High School.
