Atascadero police raise nearly $13,000 for youth sports 

The Atascadero Police Association, representing the city’s officers and dispatchers, announced this week the success of its 5th Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Nearly $13,000 was raised during the Sept. 5 tournament held at Hunter Ranch Golf Course, which included a helicopter golf ball drop sponsored by Sinton Helicopters and a new car for anyone making a hole in one sponsored by Paso Robles Chevrolet.

Atascadero PoliceThe funds raised will be used to provide sports scholarships for families who need assistance covering the costs of youth sports; to provide funds to purchase safety equipment for youth football programs; and to fund other youth activities.

The success of this event would not be possible without the incredible support of local business and community members, the association said in a press release. This year The Atascadero Police Association would like to acknowledge the following major sponsors Augie’s Quest, Ray & Robin Sabersky, West Coast Towing, Pro Tow, Atascadero Fire Department Association, Atascadero Glass, KD Capital, Michael Fredericks Paving, Oso Libre Winery, Spartan Training Resources, Wysong Construction, Pianetta Winery, and Atascadero Jewelry & Loan.

The 6th Annual Charity Golf Tournament has been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at Hunter Ranch Golf Course.
